This story is kind of odd since it is not everyday that the firefighters in Jacksonville Florida have to call someone like Mike Dragich who is a licensed alligator trapper to actually wrestler an eight foot alligator inside of a fire station on Monday July 15.
Mike is billed as the Blue-Collar Brawler chased the alligator inside of the fire station and he was able to pull out the alligator from underneath a firetruck.
Mike was able to keep the snout of the alligator's snout shut until a firefighter could secure the alligator with tape.
The fire station is located near a pond where the alligator called home.

I sure wouldn't want his job. I wonder what you have to do to get a alligator trapper license. Firefighters have enough to contend with without an alligator too.

That is a good question how Mike got his alligator license in the first place.

Mike does know what he is doing by working as a gator catcher.

I am in agreement with you that the alligator was going out for a walk.

He seems to be a bit of a "cowboy" to me, trying to catch an alligator, in shorts, singlet, and no shoes.
Perhaps, he thought, that he would have to chase the animal into the fire station bathtub, or something, or he might have thought that fire hoses might have to be sprayed onto the alligator, and him included too, to subdue it, as otherwise, proper safety wear, boots, and sturdy pants and jacket, would seem more appropriate to wear here.

I"m glad they were able to catch the alligator without injury. I hope he's returned to his pond.

I am sure that the alligator was returned to a safe place by the animal control officers.
