31 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from HOT Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's a steamy 83 F and feels like 87 F.
I'm thankful for fans. I'm not running the A/C. I have the ceiling fan going and the Wind Tunnel fan. It's pleasant in the apartment. I have the patio door and my bedroom window closed.
I'm thankful for the time I spent with you today. It's always good to see what's going on in your world. I hope you're starting to cool off from all the hot weather.
I'm thankful for getting my steps. My friend down the hall told me not to go out, but I was determined. It wasn't bad. I walked two trails today. Yes, my leg is much better because of the Ibuprofen.
Okay, that's my day. It's been quiet and relaxing. I opened a book, but didn't want to work on one today, so I closed it.

No real cool down as of yet. Teases of rain are keeping the sun from making the house miserable. I'm thankful for that. I am not covered in sweat. I guess it's okay enough that I can be thankful for that. George has been changing his shirts twice a day, so that's another thing to be thankful for. I guess it's getting easier except when his arm locks up and he askes me for help with the sleve. I'm thankful for that, too.

The high 80s would be comfortable to us. Can you believe we are in the high 90s and this is cooler than it has been to us? We are considered nuts here and do not use AC . . . but we do use fans and manage the windows. Great you got your steps in - I do think it's better to be walking when you can. I did spot the deer! I am thankful that it was a productive day . . . we got some more things off the checklist for the summer. Dinner and dessert is ready for us, so the rest of the evening will be relaxing.

There is always something to be thankful for. I would do fans at that temperature as well. I am grateful for a/c as we are humid and closer to 100.
