Out of copy paper

I have a lot of stuff to print, and I am out of copy paper. I printed it once but the print got bad due to me being out of black ink.
I have had coffee and I have eaten. there are a lot of things to do outside, but first I will go off to Dollar General for paper, unless I find some stashed somewhere here.
When hubby cooked yesterday he forgot to plug in the slow cooker, so it did not get done. He had told me he would make a roast, but instead he cut up the roast to make a stew. I am honestly disappointed.
I have the slow cooker on now, and am planning on starting my day. He is still in bed.
Good morning to all of you.

I had some on a shelf. I thought I might. I had expected to have it near the copier.

I have done that. It is disappointing when you have to change the meal

I wanted a roast anyway. Actually I did not want to buy anything. I wanted to use stuff we had at home.

Out of paper? Guess you weren't paying attention.
I've had my tea and meds but need to have something else... maybe toast and another cuppa.

I did have some in a place I did not expect. I need my meds and I still will go to Dollar General today to get some insect repellent and cat food.

It is okay because we always have something here to eat. I had an extra ink cartridge and did find more copy paper as well.

@just4him I always try to be prepared. At least part of the time I succeed.

@Ronrybs I have used my slow cooker to make yogurt and to cook down apple butter and many other things. I used to tell people it was my best friend.

You can cook a pot roast nicely in a slow cooker. It is more work to cut the meat up. I will do the next one. We do not have many stores near by but the Dollar General does sell copy paper. Even our grocery store sells copy paper, but that is a half hour away.

@GardenGerty In my book, 'Slow Cooking for Dummies', it tells you how to roast, but I've never tried

I hate when I run out of paper or ink. I hope you got your printing done. Sorry about the roast. Have a good weekend.

It turns out I do have more paper. I also had an ink cartridge in a drawer because the warning light came on months ago and I intended to be ready.

@LindaOHio I try to be prepared. It may be time to buy a new sleeve of copy paper to continue being prepared.

I did find some copy paper. The stew was okay but not what I wanted. I will put quite a bit of it in the freezer for fall meals.

From a roast to a stew, weird. I think I'd prefer the stew but I get your disappointment.
Hopefully you can find some paper at home, what about the black ink? Could you replace it already?

I keep an extra ink cartridge on hand so I just had to change it. I also found I had some paper. Stew would be better on a cooler day. If I had made it I would have seared the meat on the stove, put it in the cooker with whole potatoes and large carrots and not done so much work. The stew ended up tasting good, but it was not what I expected.

Slow cookers are great. And if a dish is large I freeze parts of it so I can have it another day.

It is not all his fault. He does not know that I keep it unplugged when not in use, so he assumed if it was sitting there all he had to do is turn the dial.
