A small pony that fled from his home in Wilmington Delaware on Monday morning that was seen running on the road was captured by the New Castle County Police Department (NCCPD) officers after the male pony who goes by the name Southern Star Lighting or his nickname Bolt managed to leave his owner's home by knocking over a fence. The police officers of the NCCPD were able to locate the owner of the small pony and reunite the pet with his owner. The joke by the police officer was that the small pony cannot join the police unit but he can work as an escape artist. Nice to see that even police officers can execute their work of serving and protecting their communities by sharing a sense of humor. Link is upi.com/5901722268191 via @upi

Bolt sounds like a very appropriate name for that little pony.

@akalinus I can relate to laughing at jokes that are odd.

I am glad it ended well and the pony is safe at home. I'm sure they will build a stronger fence and hope they take the pony out for an adventure now and then. Anything gets bored when cooped up all the time.

I know what you mean that even animals do not like to get locked up inside a farm all day long.

A loose pony on the road is a dangerous thing, and it is good that it escaped injury from passing traffic, and was safely rounded up.

You are right that the pony could have caused trouble being on the road.
