The United States Coast Guard (USCG) answered an emergency call from a Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile Alabama on Monday morning July 29 when the aircrew reported seeing a 14 foot vessel with camouflage exterior off of Horn Island.
The watch standers sent a small boat crew from Pascagoula to search the vessel and they found a cellphone, a wallet and a cooler filled with ice. the Mobile watch standers were able to contact the relatives of the missing boaters who told the authorities that the vessel owner and a friend were staying at Horn Island overnight.
The watch standers sent a USCG helicopter from New Orleans to rescue the two missing boaters who were on the island and take them via the helicopter to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport safely.

I wonder what really happened there.
Maybe they went to the island just to roast a local pig for their lunch, as who, would leave their wallet, and cellphone, on the boat, if they were really in trouble.
