Babysitter in Missouri rewarded for her actions of saving the life of children in a fire

Savannah Strother who is a 15 year old female who resides in High Ridge Missouri was doing babysitting duties in her home in early July when a fire started between her home and next door neighbor.
Savannah was babysitting one year old Alyiah and a three year old Brysen when the fire broke out and she managed to get the two children and herself from harms way by getting them out of the house safely.
Savannah's mother Britney credits her daughter being mature for her age in dealing with taking of her relatives and strangers from being the oldest child taking care of her three younger sisters.
Savannah was given a Hometown Hero Award on Monday by the Board of Directors at the High Ridge Fire Protection Fire District for her act of rescuing the two younger children she was babysitting.
Savannah was given a check for $500 dollars as her reward as well.

Let's hope that the house was not too badly damaged before the fire was brought under control.
