I had forgotten completly what I had thawed yesterday. I didn´t even remember if I had taken out some meat.
But as I was preparing my breakfast I noticed some chicken wings on the counter. And better still, I had bought some barbecue sauce.
So, today, I will have some delicious chicken wings with barbecue sauce for lunch.
I will not fry the wings. I read a couple of recipes and it can be done in the oven which is much healthier. I love to eat some deep fryied food sometimes but I try to avoid it for health reasons. Once of the pills I have to take until I die do a lot of harm to the liver. That can´t be helped, but I can manage to eat yummy things with no fried fat.
I´ll eat them with part of my leftover rice. I read yesterday online that eating leftover rice was unhealthy. I decided to skip that knowledge as I skipped years ago the knowledge that eggs were unhealthy and the marguerine was a lot better than butter. I think that we have to choose what to eat and what to skip.
Years ago I decided never to eat again white chocolate. But it helped that I did not like it much. And now I prefer the much healthy very dark chocolate.
Have you made changes in you eating habits for health reasons? I am eating less now. But I also lead a much more sedentary life.

I think that the health facts keep changing. I say eat what you want and don't worry about it. For years, I based my menus on what was on sale at the local market. My kids were always well nourished. Sometimes I had a garden.and the kids ate tomatoes, cukes, and radishes like they were apples.

Once Vince was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, we switched to low fat milk and multi-grain bread. Also cut out desserts for the most part. Now we're older we eat a lot less too.

I try hard to only make the amount of rice I know that we will eat that day. If there is a small amount of leftover, I refrigerate it right away and have it the next day. Rice can make you deadly sick, and can go bad very quickly. I always thaw any chicken and poultry products in the refrigerator--well, I basically do all my meats that way. My life is busy, I don't want to set out meat at room temperature to have it sit there if I have to leave for a while, an hour or however long. I just can't afford to waste it due to my own negligence--no one can, now.
Our chicken wings are priced higher than basically any other parts of a chicken. Back in the day before they became so popular, they were dirt cheap! Not now! I can buy a huge package of chicken legs for very little--but a small package of wings is way, way overpriced. Is it that way there, too?

I think we all need to make lifestyle changes with time.
I consume very less of the outside oily food.
I have tried to up my protein intake but that too in limits.
Enjoy your meal, and well, may be a Dark Choclate bar !!
