Young children are invited to our church parking lot, for a fun afternoon. There will be bounce toys to enjoy and plenty of free food, also It's a back-to-school festivity in EastTawas, Michigan. Lincoln Street has been blocked off, so traffic won't pose as a threat. Inside the church, parents can receive free school supplies, tennis shoes for their kids, book bags and free back to school haircuts, as long as these items are available. This is a love outreach to our community. Many families are struggling at this time, to scrape money together to buy their kids these vital needs. Today our churches provides an easy way, to get these items. Am I proud of this outreach? Of course I am, because God provides all our needs and he loves these people just as much as he love us:) Happy faces are the Lord's specialty This will be a good time for the entire family, between 10:00A-4:00P. We expect a great turnout:) Photo: Borrowed from Pixabay

That is a wonderful gesture of generosity shown within your community. We raise money so that people can shop for school supplies for backpacks in my workplace. Our team raised some last month, for the senior children, and this month we will do the younger ones. It is so nice to lend a helping hand.

It's wonderful to purchase a pair of tennis shoes and a back pack, for a child that I might never meet:)

There were many volunteers, to inflate the fun toys and clean up, after everything was finished.

The church is wealthy, so the Lord wants a powerful outreach to those who are needy.

I love places that have these kind of outreach programs. It’s such a blessing when people have so many needs.

For people who are struggling financially, putting shoes on their children's feet is a big expense!

Is there a cake walk? I love the old time harvest fests that have games like that.

@kobesbuddy That was back when we lived near an island. You rode a ferry for 8 minutes to get to the island. My daughter didn't go to the school there but everybody welcomed us in. She first learned some independence riding that ferry by herself to go to the island library. Very nice folks.

If wealthy churches and people would constantly reach out to the needy, poverty was be abolished.
