It is unusual for a live groundhog to get inside of a claw machine at the Meadows Family Fun Mini Golf in Duncansville Pennsylvania on Tuesday of this week.
Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission in the Southcentral region sent Game Warden Salvadore Zaffuto when he saw the stuffed animals move around inside of the claw machine when the groundhog managed to get his head above the dolls to see what is going on.
A representative of the company that operates the claw machine was called to open the claw machine with a key so Salvadore would remove the live groundhog safely.
After Salvadore was able to remove the live groundhog from the claw machine and take the animal who was not injured back to the wild.
How did the groundhog get into the claw machine is a mystery.

That is a good question how the live groundhog got into the claw machine in the first place.

Perhaps he saw some stuffed animal that he liked, so went after them, in that machine.

That is most likely what happened.

I am in agreement with you that the groundhog was not hurt in the incident.
