Two Maryland police officers rescue a hawk from a grill inside of an auto

A resident of Howard County in Maryland called the local police to inform them that the driver had accidentally struck a hawk who ended up stuck in an auto grill on Sunday July 27.
Howard County Police Department (HCPD) Officers Sergeant Thorsvik and PFC Fortson responded to the accident as both officers were able to get the hawk out form the auto's front grill safely.

The hawk was taken by the two police officers to Frisky's Wildlife in Woodbine where the hawk is making a recovery from the injuries in the accident.

With more and more cars on the roads and new roads making inroads to more areas, this must be a real hazard for flying birds, including hawks.

Wow he is a nice looking hawk and those guys are great to save him.
