Last night I fell asleep with the TV on. I was very tired so I have no idea what I was watching. But I was amazad when I woke up today to people in Tasmania, with 4 people after a Tasmanian tiger, a supposedly extint marsupial. This is a lot more interesting than the sightings of Big Foot. In the Big Foot shows there is a lot of legends. This seems real. And many times I have seen elsewhere people finding an alive animal that was supposed to have perished years ago. Now I am in Tasmania and after this ends I´ll ask the web why is it that Australia has so many marsupials. I have learned a lot about them watching the tiny babies online and how they go in and out of their mom´s marsupia as they grow. Do you like to watch these shows? They are not the kind of shows that one animal catches and eats another although I perspnally think that animals do that in case of need while we do it for money and power. See you friends. I´m off to my notifications while I watch TV.

I have heard of sightings of the Tasmanian tiger. It may not be extinct after all. Is that the same thing as a Thylacine? People claim to have seen it. Here is a link for you:

@marguicha I have never seen one but I heard they are making a comeback. There have been other "extinct" animals that are suddenly around again.

I guess Australia was cut off from other land masses millenia ago and so distinct types of animals developed. I'll be interested to see what you find out.

We watch all kinds of animal shows. We usually have TV on to fall asleep. It's on a timer for about 30 minutes.

Australia has a lot of marsupials, I think, because it's an island; and many animals have evolved in a closed environment. Have a good weekend.

As you know, I had my own pack of kids, as well as had spares often--foster children, at one point several exchange students, a spare here and there as well..my home was never, ever quiet. Then everyone grew up and went off to college, etc. and all of a sudden the house was way, way too quiet. I started the habit of watching TV until I went to sleep. Now, I can't sleep unless it's on. My best friend is the same way...it's usually on, anyway, if I am home. I enjoy animal shows at times, but not the gory ones.

I love animal shows mostly the funny ones. Sometimes I do watch the wildlife documentaries. I will keep in mind to watch the Tasmanian tiger documentaries. I have not went to sleep keeping the tv switched on. I have the television in the living room and I do not sleep in living room . However, I have been guilty a few times of sleeping with the lights on. I would have been extremely tired and doozed off . I would realize the same on the middle of nigh and then switch off everything and go to sleep. It has not happened recently though.
