Kapernick to Coach Now?????

Apparently since Kapernick can't play football, they want to give him a chance to coach it. I just found out today that Jim Harbaugh, current head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, was considering ex San Fransisco quarter back, Colin Kapernick to join his coaching staff. According to Harbaugh himself, this is not the first time that he's mentioned or reached out to Kapernick about coaching. Kapernick hasn't played in the NFL since 2017. Last time he was asked about it by Sky News Reports in Britain during the Olympics, Kapernick said he's still training. What do you think? If he can't play anymore...can he coach?

I think this would be a bad idea for the franchise considering the controversy surrounding Kaepernick. But then again, it's California.

I really think that part of the reason no one wants to hire him in the NFL in general is because he's too much drama. He takes the focus off the game which is the whole point of why people tune into a football game. To forget drama and just enjoy the game.

@JordanLader That's part of it. Beyond that, he spit on our flag and disrespected our veterans with his antics. No one likes that.

@porwest Nope but they probably would have overlooked it had it not brought drama to the sport.

It isn't that he *can't* play--it is that teams won't hire him. Sure he can coach. I can't play field hockey any longer but I certainly can coach it.

It's true. He did get blacklisted by the NFL. So if a league doesn't want you to play, will they let him coach? The rules in the NFL have changed so much, I'm not sure if he could coach now really.

@JordanLader He could coach for sure. It is a matter of if a team has the courage to hire him. My guess is probably not.

I only vaguely know about what's going on with the Browns. I can't comment intelligently because I don't know enough about Kapernick. Have a good weekend.

He's the guy who started the kneeling for the anthem controversy. No one will hire him.
