A dad and his son were walking near the Charles River in Boston Massachusetts on Monday morning when the child whose name was not mentioned fell into the river.
The dad whose name was not mentioned then proceeded to jump into the river in an attempt to rescue his son when a duck boat that was in the river at the same time came to rescue the duo.
The duo were evaluated at the scene of the accident by the authorities and then taken to a local hospital the same morning to be evaluated by the medical staff.

How many times don't kids and their parents walk by rivers, What was the father doing when the kid fell in and why did he let him walk so close to the river?????

The dad was likely caught off guard when his son fell into the river.

Kids will be kids, and maybe he was larking around there, or maybe, it was just an accident, when his son lost balance. It was good they were both rescued safely.

Most likely the child lost his balance and he fell into the river.

I am in agreement with you about the dangers of rivers when people fall into them.
