Sometimes it just takes a commonsense approach when it comes to the trials, indictments, and conviction of Donald Trump, to understand the influence of politics involved in it, and why it matters more than what many people think is the heart of the matter.
Is Trump a criminal? Or is he simply somebody who can win that the establishment wanted to go to great lengths to avoid having a chance? Essentially, to rig an election and take away from the American people the opportunity to choose its leaders?
It is an act such as this one, perpetrated against a former president by the current administration, that only helps to make the question of, "Could it be possible that Trump actually won in 2020?" stronger in the minds of many voters.
I like Dr. Phil's approach to this interview with Donald Trump and I think offers valuable insight not only into the cases against Donald Trump, but the purpose of them which go beyond interests of law and order.
It is worth watching if you have not seen it, and I encourage everyone to do so.

When your cushy corrupt livelihood is being threatened by a former President who is not beholding to special interests and will clean up the Washington mess you will try and stop him. The old saying the "end justifies the means applies here.
Trump now understands how the Washington cesspool game works and they know it. That's why they consider him dangerous, threat to democracy has nothing to do with it.

Bingo. I have said all along that Trump's GREATEST crime was to go against the establishment, and it is also the greatest threat. The establishment has had its power for decades and decades, and the last thing they want is to lose it.
Trump has said many times he wants to give the country back to the People. But of course, no one hears that.

@porwest I second that opinion. The ones who work so hard to stop him, are the ones who fear the most of being exposed.

@dgobucks226 BIG part of it, methinks. Trump is not a threat to democracy. He's a threat to the establishment. That scares the hell out of them not only for the power they would lose, but the secrets that would be revealed.
