Maybe We Have a Winner?

The MegaMillions drawing was last night, and so of course I checked to see if anyone had won the jackpot.
We bought tickets in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida on our travels to Lake Mary which is near Orlando.
Lo and behold, no one won the big one, so the jackpot spins forward to $681 million for Tuesday's drawing. We will DEFINITELY buy more tickets, and since we head back home on Monday, getting back on Wednesday, we'll be getting tickets in multi-states again.
Yeah, we're suckers. Sue me.
But somebody DID win $1 million in Florida. Hmm. Maybe it's one of our tickets? Gosh, wouldn't that be awesome?
I will check the tickets later since the wife is still sleeping and the hotel room is a bit dark still, momentarily. Fingers crossed. Do you think we could have a winner? Could it be us?

@porwest Good luck. The cash payout in the Ohio Classic Lotto is now over $7 million. Just enough for us!

@LindaOHio Seems like that would do the trick. By my calculations that would put about $2.1 million cash in your pocket after taxes.

I feel like Florida has a lot of winners, I wonder if that has to do with the amount of old people or the amount of drunk people. Or maybe a little bit of both.

Geez, Jim, I thought you knew that I was the winner from Florida! There's no need for you to even look at your tickets!
I was near Lake Mary last night. Well, not quite, I was at Disney World, but it's just a quick hop, skip and a jump over to Lake Mary.
Did you know that the baseball team from Lake Mary just won the Little League World Series? That edged out Taiwan 2-1 for the championship.

@porwest Oh, that's cool. I'm glad they did something special for those kids. Lake Mary is a pretty small area, so I was thrilled to see their Little League team win it all.

could you be so lucky to be the 1 with the winning ticket?? if you are I sure
don't want to know about it but I will wish you all the luck, have a great time
spending it on investments & whatever else you will do with it.
