I only transplanted 2 seedlings.

The chard had grown long and thin with the cold and excesive rain. And the soil was covered with moss.
So I found 2 containers (a good one that will last until the end and a tiny one to have a plant until it can be transplanted again).
I mixed the soil of the containers with the good compost I had bought and very carefully planted 2 of them there. After I did it, I was redy to lie down either in my bed or directly in a coffin.
Everything was a lot more difficult than what I had thought it would be.
The seedlings are in their containers, watered and cared for. I know that 2 is nothing. But if I find 2 other decent containers, I´ll plant my vegetable garden little by little.
The arugula are not doing too well either. I think that the soil is too bad, even for their week-like needs. But I can´t move them. What I will do in a couple of weeks is to plant more seeds in a better soil. I bought 4 sacs of compost some days ago.
Now that I´m in no hurry to sell my house, I´ll try to make a vegetable garden in containers. In a few more days I´ll plant radishes too. I have some seeds I bought last year.
Are you a gardener?

Best of luck to you with your garden. I used to be in Latvia we grew tomatoes, cucumbers, and potatoes,

I never plant potatoes or carrots here. They are fairly inexpensive at the supermarket and they take up a lot of space when I plant them.

That´s what I should do. I´ll do it in my next home if I ever move.

I hope so too. Home grown veggies are much better.

I have a friend who grows the most beautiful Swiss Chard I have ever seen, and it's simply delicious. She brings it to me, so I never have to plant any. Her garden is just huge. I don't have very much room to plant like she does.

I understand, but fresh vegetables are so nice to have, I know you enjoy them as much as I do.

@MarieCoyle All greens you plant taste completly different than the veggies you buy. Some years ago Leticia and I planted some chard and it was enough for her house and for mine. The leaves were tender and delicious.
