A carpet of white

We’re just returned from visiting some of the best wildflower sites in Western Australia.
There were dozens of folks in caravans, tents or just touring and enjoying the beauty of acres of everlastings. At our first stopover we were told that the flowers at Coalseam were the best for many years so that’s where we headed.
There would be a patch of white ones, then yellow, then pink. Occasionally the colours appeared together but not too often. There were other blooms as well but the everlastings were the most spectacular simply because of the huge areas they covered.
Here is a patch of white ones, complete with an emu. This is Vince’s photo, used with permission. My ‘white’ ones aren’t quite as spectacular.

It is beautiful. I think if the patch is yellow or pink, it will look even nicer.

So, so gorgeous. Love fields that are coated with lovely flowers like that.

This was taken in Coalseam Conservation Park but the sides of the roads, edges of the paddocks, any areas of bush have lots of colour and patches of everlastings in particular. You need to search more for the orchids and some of the other flowers. We found orchids around the caravan park just be walking into the bush. Flowering starts in the northern areas then proceeds towards the south as the weeks pass.
