A pleasant place to break our journey

On our first day heading for wildflower country, we had lunch near a creek. It was a really lovely place to rest for a while and I couldn’t decide which photo to use so I’ve made a collage of them.
There was a lush grass area along with picnic tables and chairs. There was also a self-composting toilet. We had bought takeaway at the service station and had flasks/thermoses of coffee and tea with us.

It was nice that there were no crowds and no noise - just the sound of the babbling brook.
