Police in Virginia find an emu loose in a resident's back yard

Officers with the Roanoke Virginia Police Department answered an emergency call from concerned residents about an emu that was seen in a backyard next to a fence on Thursday August 22.
The police were able to use social media to send a message for the owner that they found the loose emu and they would want the owner of the emu to reunite with his or her pet as soon as possible.
It is not known if the owner of the emu went to reunite with his or het pet after being contacted by the police.

I hope so as well since my belief is that the owner of the emu wants privacy if when he or she reunites with his or her pet.
