If you thought the country song was obscure, wait until you hear this! Yes, it’s obscure two-fer Tuesday. At least you’ve heard of this guy…just not the song. Consider this the “oh, this guy did solo stuff????” education. Here’s today’s song. Break Away - Art Garfunkel Yeah, Garfunkel without Simon! And, boy, did this bomb. I’ll save you the suspense of looking for the peak chart position at the bottom: it only made it to #39 on the Hot 100. It did, however, top the “easy listening” (now “adult contemporary”) chart. It has what I love: harmony. David Crosby, Graham, Nash, Toni Tennille, Stephen Bishop, and Andrew Gold were the backing singers on this album.
