Kitten hitches a ride with search and rescue team and gets adopted

A female kitten is very lucky that she was able to survive a ride in the wheel well of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team in Portland Oregon on Wednesday August 28 when the volunteers who were Lindsey Lohr and Greg Wood answered an emergency call in the Vista house in the Gorge which was around 15 miles away from the sheriff's office parking lot. When the volunteers arrived at the Vista house, the volunteers heard a meow from the wheel well. The volunteers then disassembled the truck when they found the kitten safe and sound even though the kitten was battling fleas and a cold when one of the volunteers decided to adopt the kitten and name her Vista after the place that they found her. How did Vista wind up in the wheel well is a mystery. Vista is now a member of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Mascot. I am now starting to believe that cats do have nine lives.
