A surfer who decided to surf into the waters off of the Gulf Coast near Freeport Texas on Wednesday afternoon hopefully learned a lesson not to surf in large waves when remnants of Hurricane Francine caused huge waves which attract surfers.
A friend of the surfer called the United States Coast Guard (USCG) on Wednesday afternoon when the male surfer felt ill from the high waves in the Gulf Of Mexico overpowered him to the point that the surfer needed to be rescued.
The USCG stationed in Freeport Texas sent a response boat and a helicopter to rescue the surfer who was in the water when the 29 foot response boat rescued the man and placed him inside of the rescue boat and take him to shore safe and sound.

Not a very good surfer he should have known better not to surf in the gulf after a major storm,

Hopefully the surfer learned his lesson now to surf in highwater.

That is very true that helicopters have saved countless lives of persons in need.

He must have thought that he was a better surfer than what he was. He will be more circumspect next time, I expect.

I also hope that the surfer learned a lesson not to surf on high tides.
