At least I think so and tend to agree mostly these days. The sheer stupidity and obstinate, ignorant behavior is at a peak. It's a refreshing take on a big issue. Of course, those who are not adults and can face life head on, I am sure will object to this view. What is your view on this subject? Have you experienced a lot of obstinate, whining non adults? Good article in The Economist.

I think you can trace some of this immaturity to when parents stopped raising children and tried to be their friend instead. Kids need guidance, a mature role model to follow to grow into responsible adults not someone acting as a BFF. In addition, parents stopped saying no and gave in to whatever their kid wanted as to not cause them any emotional harm. Instead, it stunted their emotional growth. Schools also played a part by protecting a child's psyche. A good example is "everyone is a winner" in athletic contests. No 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards, everyone gets a ribbon or prize. This feeds entitlement which results in tantrums and whining if they don't get their way.

Ohhh, a big fat yes! I even discuss these behaviors with my "kids" . . . they will also shake their heads over some of their friends - and you should see some of their parents!!

It's for the adult parents to groom their children. Culture can be improved.

@RebeccasFarm That's the same thing in India. People are becoming more uncultured these days which is being reflected on the children.
