Frugal Shopping: Gaming Paid for What?

As many of you know I have several different little apps that I use to earn a few bucks here and there. Some of you also know that our house was broken into last month and the majority of anything of value was taken. We have an open police case about it. One of the things that was taken was one of those plug and play retro consoles. I bought it for Chris a few years ago and while we didn't play it often, we did play it. We we're both pretty ticked off when we discovered it was among the things that the thief got away with. I wanted to get him another one, but the ones like the that one are in the $30-$40 price range, and that just isn't in the budget right now. So I took to Ali Express to see if I could find anything similar. I had some coupons, and a few dollars from cashing out yesterday and found a handheld version with 500 games. The regular price of it is $12.65, it was on sale for $5.69 but I had a coupon that made it just $0.99. It was $1.55 with tax. So that's a savings of $11.10. Now you might say, but for that price how can it be good? And I will admit before I ordered any electronics from Ali Express I would of agreed with you but we got a massage gun for a couple bucks a few months ago and that thing is amazing. We also got some microphones that attach to you and link to your phone for recording videos for just over a dollar and they have worked well. So I think I did pretty good. It should be here next week. So I wil let y'all know how well it works/goes. What's the best deal you've gotten recently?

That sounds like a good deal. If I knew your house was broken into, then I'd forgotten. I'm sorry to hear that. It would be the pits.

@thislittlepennyearns That's doubly awful.

@JudyEv We drove past him in town a couple days ago, after he got out of jail on bond. And he had some choice words and finger movements for us.

It was and still is. It's a pain in the butt. What's worse is it is someone who we used to call a friend.

Sound to good to be true. I did get a couple things off the tik tok shop that weren't to bad. Although the earbuds were set to super loud so I have to lower the volume when I use them. Perfer my beats, but they don't seem to stay in my ears when I move. Only real downside.

Not all of us have money for things like Beats. And all the stuff I have gotten from Temu or Ali Express has been great.

@kaylachan Again, I don't own any apple products either. Too expensive.

@porwest Yes, usually I only buy things that are needed. Now is when I usually start Christmas shopping.

@thislittlepennyearns Only if you need these things and would have bought them anyway. I assume that's the case.
