Good morning.

I almost missed giving my husband his morning meds because he randomlly decided to go outside this morning. It would've been fine if he wanted to go out a couple hours ago, but he picked the time he's supposed to get his meds. So I had to scramble to get them to him.
I was only outside a couple of minutes, and I can already tell the humidity from yesterday's rain is going to be a pain. It's expected to be sunny all day, today. So, that'll be a welcome change from the oveercast or rainy days we've been getting.
I need to do George's tube, but at least with him outside I can grab something to eat before him, if I so desire today. I just hope he doesn't put up a fight with his tube today. Yesterday he was a child about his second and third feedings.

I hope you and George have a good day. I know some days must be harder than others. I hope that someday he will be able to eat enough food to eliminate the feeding tube.

I have to be realistic. I can't expect him to suddenly want three squares a day. He never has.

Are hot dogs an old favorite of his? Does he have any other favorites he asks you for? I am sure you do whatever you can do to get him what he wants.

@MarieCoyle Hotdogs just seem to be the thing he's been craving lately. He used to love them, but I think it's just easy to get down. Processed or not, they are almost pure protien, so that's a plus. And, he eats two franks which is (according to the label) two servings. In the past week, he'd been asking for them twice a day. He's also asked me for Oreos and he's been asking for milk a lot. I figure he drinks roughly a glass and a half to two daily between all the times he asks for it. I fill the glass about half full to prevent spills because sometimes those cups tilt.

He was tired of it from the moment they put that thing in. But, he's been pretty compliant. But, something like eating can't be forced. That's why tube feeds and I.V. feeds exist.
