Starbucks Philippines, Coffee Shop / Office

Starbucks is one of the most go to coffee shop of most Filipinos. In my personal opinion the reason is; not just because of their coffees and pastries but because of the very accommodating ambiance. I think Starbucks Philippines have the most polite service staff in the country. You seldom see them in a bad mood or disrespect you in anyway, they always listen to the customer, and they always assist them in the most polite ways. How do I know? because I am a regular customer. They will not shoo you away, they will not turn their music volume high to make certain people go, they always have that smile in their faces, and the most secured coffee shop I've ever been. Most of the freelancers and employees who want to have a different ambiance tends to go there to work, that is why some of the rich customers are ranting on social media because of the say "toxic traits" of Filipino, staying longer in the Starbucks to work when they shouldn't. But I say, maybe that is why Starbucks are the go to coffee shop of the Filipinos even though they now block their power outlets many are still coming there to unwind and just bring their laptops with them to work, is because the place is very accommodating and I say the service crew is one of their best assets! Kudos to Starbucks Philippines! How about you what is your favorite coffee shop/office ?

that's o cool to have a coffee maker. I love going to coffee shop, that's one of my answered prayer when I was little, I always pray to God to give me a place where I can eat donuts and drink coffee while reading and writing. And God answered it on my first corporate job. But I am not fond of coffee I love Frappuccino and iced coffee.

I am glad to see Starbucks in such good favor there. As for me, I prefer not to pay $5 for something I can brew at home for 10 cents. lol

Wow! I hope I know how to brew coffee and I hope I have a coffee maker, it is very expensive here because Filipinos love coffee. One of my cousin is renting his coffee maker and pay it per month with different k-cup coffee flavors inclusions for one month.

@luisadannointed I can buy a coffee pot here (just a basic one) for $10. I would never want to live in a world where I had to sign a lease agreement for a coffee maker. That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Do they accommodate customers for hours when they don't order anything??

I don't know, but the only thing I know is if you orders are for take out they will not allow you to stay inside. That's one of their rules aside from sleeping inside. When they see customers that are sleeping they automatically wake them up for their safety.

@anya12adwi sometimes they get sleepy, some are just came from work who just want to unwind. Most common to sleep there are the young professional who just got out of their job, they just so tired, but want to have coffee before going home. Drinking coffee in the Philippines is not the usual, we drink hot coffee during summer, some drink coffee before sleeping, some drink coffee after work, some drink coffee because of stress....

Starbucks is popular here too, but no coffee shop or restaurants encourage you to stay longer and work. They are clear about it. We have shared co working spaces that have become very popular here. They also come with good ambiance and a good cafe.

I've never been to a Starbucks, it can only be found in larger cities. We have more traditional coffee shops otherwise. But I would love to visit one, because of what you said. It's a totally different experience. I thought of going there on October 1st as it's International Coffee Day, but I don't think I will.

Traditional coffee shop is so cool! Starbucks before can be found on business center, malls, but now they are really expanding, during pandemic they are now penetrating little cities and town. The construction of Starbucks near are area is almost done. Starbucks can be expensive, but some of their drinks are still affordable specially their pastries. But yes I agree, its not advisable to go to Starbucks everyday!

@luisadannointed Glad you're going to have a Starbucks near you very soon. I'm more concerned about the high amount of sugar but yes, it can put a strain on someone's finances if one were to go there every day.
