Phoenix broke a heat record with 113 straight days above 100 degrees.
A new type of "short corn" is being developed to withstand the fiercer storms brought about by climate change. The corn can also be grown in a denser group.
My husband's 2nd cousin took me to get my hair cut. I had a coupon for $8.99!!! Then I treated her to lunch at Red Lobster.
If you are in the path of Helene, please be alert and stay safe.
Kinetic/Windstream finally came to bury the cable so that they can connect my internet and phone service. They wanted to come and install tomorrow; but my husband's 2nd cousin and her dog will be here.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Red Lobster - Clam strips, bay scallops, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cheddar bay biscuits.
Dessert/Snack - Chocolate wave (Red Lobster chocolate cake and ice cream). Not as good as Longhorn.
Dinner - Protein bar

I had scrambled eggs with olives onions cheese and peppers. Tuna for lunch.

There was a tornado warning near you last night. It thankfully went off into the lake. I was listening to the Reds/Guardians game and they didn’t have any problems with getting the game in.
Chicken taco salad for lunch (I was getting calls from the home office!) and egg whites and taters for dinner. And apples and yogurt!

Sounds yummy. I hop eyou had a great time. It is difficult to get lobster in this part of world and yet to get the taste of one. I did have crabs. Hopefully , I will get a good one imported . Well, heat records have been broken all over the globe. What worries me is that if the summers are going to be like this , it would be tough in 10 years to live anywhere in the world. Climate change has also impacted the rain and cold pattern as well. Hope our scientists and Governments can work through something and get the heatwaves under control. You have a great day ahead!

I did a mix on my leftover rice with spinach and tomatoes then a can of pork and beans and melted cheese, It worked well for me,

Although it's not the same thing, I do like baby corn and have not had that in a while. Maybe I should look for some.
For dinner I kept it simple and just made a spaghetti sauce concoction. Just penne noodles with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, spaghetti sauce seasoned with oregano, Italian seasoning and minced garlic, and added meatballs to the mixture. Topped it with Parmesan cheese and parsley. Yummy.

@LindaOHio I always have boxes of it in the house. Salad shells, rotini, penne, spaghetti, fettucine, lasagna, elbow macaroni...it's a bit of a staple in the house even though we tend to eat more rice than pasta.

Longhorn's has a rich dark chocolate cake, then 2 layers of chocolate ganache, a dark chocolate frosting and dark chocolate chips on top.
