Tanghulu or candied fruit skewer. This fruit skewer has been trending social media early this year here in my country. Originated from either China or Korea as a street food snack. You can use any fruit and coated it with thin sugar coating that looks like a glass. It looks really good but I cannot say the same on how you going to eat it. The coating after a while will hardened making it difficult to bite. I think I prefer chocolate coated fruits than this one. Would you try this?

Oh yes. Me and my daughter tried this. It was okay T first when the sugar coat was still a bit soft but when it hardens, it is difficult to eat

When we went downtown last weekend (to Little Tokyo), we passed by a vendor that was making these. We didn't buy them because they were so expensive . . . 4 strawberries on a stick cost $6.00! We would have tried them if he offered samples, but he didn't .

You brought back memories from the past. We had those candied fruit skewers sold by vendors on the beaches when I was a little girl.

we tried it once. At first, it was okay, as the sugar coating dried and got hard, it was much harder to bite. So we end up removing the sugar coat

I tried it once. I like it too if it is not for the hardened sugar coating I would have eaten many

I do like sweet things, but am not keen on candied fruit. Sounds a bit like eating pure sugar!
