What's for din? September 27, 2024

The kids decided they wanted spaghetti. It doesn't get made very often, because I am not the biggest fan of it. I had the stomach flu in high school and ate spaghetti and projectile/exorcism voimitted all over the bathroom. So it just isn't my favorite thing in the world. But that's what was made for dinner. Spaghetti and meatballs, and homemade garlic bread. I haven't eaten yet, and don't know that I will. But there is leftover tuna fish in the fridge if I decide I feel like eating. So that's what's for dinner here. What went on the table at your house?

Gosh. You caught me on a boring night. We had more leftovers around than we wanted and so we just had a smorgasbord night.

@thislittlepennyearns Very true. Although, leftovers are always good, so I am not complaining either.

I'm defrosting a casserole. We had intended to go to a concert but we're giving it a miss.

@thislittlepennyearns It's a simple one but we both like it. Sausages and bacon, peas and carrots, crushed pineapple and tomato soup - very simple to make.

@JudyEv I don't know how the kids would feel about the pineapple. But I'm sure the rest they would be on board with.

I am fixing tacos for dinner. We had them last night to. Everything will be gone after tonight. Homemade chili for dinner tomorrow night.

@thislittlepennyearns Tuna is popular here, I should probably have mentioned that my brother was serving in the USAF at the time!

@Ronrybs Oh, differnt kind of tuna then. LOL. What do you add to your tuna? Ours is pretty basic, mayo, hardboiled egg, salt and pepper.

An experience like that would make one start a sort of dislike for the food. It happened with me with pasta that I ate in one of the restaurants overseas. It took me years to try pasta again. Even now, I am not a big fan of it. My day has just started. Planning to make one special kind of toast coated in spicy curd with onions and herbs. It's quick to fix and I will ask husband once he wakes up.
