What's for din? September 28, 2024 (With a steal of chicken breasts)

Dinner tonight is fried or bbq chicken, and homemade french fries. We had thought about doing a hot dog bar and fries. But the kids decided they wanted chicken, and he child has two friends over. So that would of been a lot of hot dogs. Teenage boys eat a lot. LOL We went into town to Thriftway. A grocery store that I swear looks like 1975 when you walk into it. But anyway. I found five and a half pounds of chicken breasts, fresh in the meat department for $16.45. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Can't get it like that at Walmart, Publix or Winn Dixie. So that's what's for dinner tonight. We had the potatoes and everything. All I had to get at the store was the chicken breasts. $16.45 for dinner for 7 people isn't too bad in my book. So that's what is going on the table here, what are you feasting on? Here's a picture of the frozen veggie section at the store we scored the chicken at. It always makes me smile that they sell veggies in ziplocks. I told a friend earlier that's how you know we live in a tiny town.
