I wouldnt have known to be angry at the kid or be smily about his gesture?! He tried to contribute how much ever he can...I appreciate that!

That was good that he left a note. He probably doesn't realize that $5 is only a drop in the bucket. Have a good week..

I would appreciate the gesture. It looks like a very minor scratch so I would probably forget about it.

Agreed, I'd also appreciate his politeness and his apology sounded genuine too. But I also hope there is an insurance that covers that damage.
