El Dorado County Firefighters had the task of removing a marmot that was underneath the hood of an auto that was driven by a female driver on Tuesday September 17. The marmot was a stowaway that had taken a trip from Yosemite National Park when the driver took her auto to the fire station on Pollock Pines where the firefighters took some of the components of the engine to remove the animal so that the marmot could travel freely. I feel sorry for the marmot, I hope he find a new place to stay. Maybe he thought he can live them momentarily, but I hope he is safe.

If marmots eat nuts, maybe he saw the nut behind the wheel, and thought there might be more nuts hidden in the car, for him to eat.
