Will I ever get a refund?

            This is the first time I am having a struggle with Amazon and the supplier to get a refund  
Amazon has already declined.  I am now dealing with the supplier. 
They have sent me semi finished caps and expect me to put them together  The main statement made clearly mentions them as caps although while scrolling right down there is a mention made about assembling them
In messages exchanged they say that it is not easy to send finished caps and to that I have sent them links from Amazon where there are other suppliers with finished caps.  There is also another category where offers are made for semi finished caps and this supplier should have included their item in that category 
I will not give up easily

                            There is a separate category for such items.  After several to and fro messaging the supplier just sent me this messagae
Request you to get in touch with sales channel from where you made a purchase for further assistances regarding your refund and return
I have asked them to give their nod to Amazon and that I will get back to Amazon after I hear from them.  The supplier did say their team is discussing this issue for future change and for that I had a good reply.

                            @LadyDuck The crux of our discussion was  when I was told sending finished caps is not convenient and for that I sent them links from Amazon where other suppliers have finished caps to offer
The matter is still not over.  They have to  give a nod to Amazon to accept return and give me a refund Keeping my fingers crossed.

                            @allknowing  - I am glad that they are accepting their mistake. Good reviews are important for them and bad reviews can ruin their image.

                            I have been shopping with Amazon for years and yes never had issues while returning or getting refunds  This is the only headache I have and hope to sort it out.

                            @nela13 Yes. I got my refund.  They did not take back the caps but I did not like them. I have now cut them to make crowns.  I have some fabric flowers that I have attached to the crowns.

                    I wish you get your refund. I suffered the same way from Flipkart. I never got a refund for a defective vacuum cleaner.

                    Wishing you luck...But if it says they state that there is assembling..not sure you can do anything except send them back and say they are not what you ordered.  Amazon should refund your money if you send them back.  I have never had a problem with sending anything back and getting a refund.

                            I never had a problem either even when the policy said 'nonreturnable' but in this case they seem to be stubborn  I am dealing with the  supplier and hoping they will hear my plea.

                    I wish you luck. It all depends on the supplier now and if they are flexible , they may be able to give some discount. But then since Amazon has declined, not sure if discount or refund would be possible through them. You would need to go through the Terms and conditions. Or see if you talk to customer care.  It is always necessary to look at terms and conditions as most of the websites especially ecommerce ones have strict Terms and conditions especially when it comes to guarantees and refunds.                     I hope you can get a refund, it seems they (the supplier) made the mistake here by not providing clear info straight away. A little sneaky on their behalf. 
I also hope you can get new caps soon as they're meant for the Halloween party, I suppose.
