Not going shopping again today. (1/10/2024)

It is the first day of October today, and it's raining again, so I'm not going to the little Tesco again. I don't know wether my Mum is going to go instead, or wether we'll get everything from the big Tesco again on Wednesday like we did last week. Instead I'm staying in and watching TV and doing stuff on my tablet, like here right now on MyLot. Crimewatch UK has just been on the telly. Homes Under the Hammer has just started now at 11:30am. This is 15 minutes later than usual, but it still finishes at 12:15pm, which means it's 15 minutes shorter than usual. It will be like this for as long as Crimewatch UK is on, and I think that's about 3 weeks or so. Yesterday my watch stopped! So I've had to bring my little bedside talking clock into the living room so that I can see what the time is! I will get a new battery for my watch from the kiosk outside the big Tesco on Wednesday. I have a lifetime guarantee so I won't have to pay for it! What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Bummer about your watch, but lifetime guarantee sounds good! I'm waiting for a delivery. Well, it's a watch too, can't wait to see how "smart" it really is.

Yes, it's strange. I don't think it's that long since I had a new battery. I mean maybe a year or just over. Aren't watch batteries supposed to last longer than that? I hope your delivery comes soon. I hope you are well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton Yeah, I wonder whether it's the battery or something else. I'd expect the battery to last longer as well, especially since it comes with a lifetime guarantee! Thanks, you have a nice day as well.

@somewitch I hope it's the battery. I don't want to have to get a new watch. Lifetime guarantee just means I don't have to pay for new batteries for the lifetime of this watch.

I hope you enjoy your day, despite nothing going on. It's a shame your husband has to spend your anniversary in hospital. Thank you very much. I hope you have a good day too.

@sharonelton I’m sweltering and eating lots of Greek food which is tasty and heavy and fattening.

@sharonelton We both have bedside clocks that we can see in the dark. Vince's has a radio in it too.

@JudyEv That's good. Mine doesn't glow in the dark though, unfortunately!

Thank you very much. It's inconvenient but at least I can see the time on my bedside talking clock! I'll get the free battery tomorrow and then everything will be hunkydory!
