Reading goal update for 2024

I’ve read 42 books so far. My goal for this year was 75 books. Not sure I’ll be able to reach it. I would need to read a bit more than ten books a month to potentially get to 75. That’s highly unlikely, unless most of the books are very small. There are seven poetry books that I borrowed from the library, which helped me get to 42 books. Close to the return date they automatically renew books once, if there are no holds on them. I was hoping that would happen so I wouldn’t have to go to the library yet but some books didn’t renew. That means a library trip is a must. Gotta do it by October 4th.

I have just read The Housemaid is Watching by Freida Mcfadden. Reading more books was a goal for me but I didn't point a number.

I finally finished my first book in a long time. Trying to get back into the habit. I used to be a voracious reader. Have a good day.

@LovesEverybody It was an autobiography of Elton John called Me. I am now reading Year One by Nora Roberts. It's about a pandemic which is right up my alley. The Elton John book was interesting, but not a "page-turner".

I might not make my goal, but that's okay. I'm reading Mien Kampf by Hitler. It's difficult to read.

As long as you are reading it's okay if you don't reach your goal. There is always next year.

I should have a reading goal. It would be interesting to see how many I read in a month or six.

I like setting a goal. If one year I reach it then the following year I try to set a goal slightly higher than the previous year’s.
