Back for his second appearance on my 100 favorites list (his first solo appearance) is one of the greats of rock history. Enjoy, and land softly after this one sweeps you off your feet. In Dreams - Roy Orbison If you watch the concert the linked video is from (A Black and White Night) and see all of those superstars relegated to a backing band, you understand the importance of Roy Orbison in music. In Dreams Written by Roy Orbison Recorded by Roy Orbison From In Dreams, 1963 Peak chart position: #7 Today’s country song: “Hangin’ Around” A silent prayer like lovers do:

Yeah, saw Elvis Costello back there too. Orbison was a legend. How could anyone not like him, let alone forget about him?

Time marches on and people think “Oh, Pretty Woman” is a Van Halen song.

@porwest — some people think Whitney Houston originated “The Greatest Love of All,” too. What can you do.

I guess I’m about the same age as your dad…or definitely the same generation. Glad you did enjoy it.
