You have to Laugh

Years ago there was a so-called writing site...'Bubblews'. Before I joined someone pinched me and told me it was a scam and gave me a kind of blueprint. I joined, I liked, I commented, and now to write... I don't know where the idea came from but it was being a clown in a circus. When I was a little kid Mommy took me and I remember hiding behind her when this clown came near, You can see I know nothing about circus, don't like clowns, but there I go. I wrote a pile of short pieces, starting from clown school, going up to selecting my costume and makeup ... I was writing these 500 word bits and cracking up every few minutes. I published one, then liked, commented, and two days later, published another, following the pattern watching my earnings. Everyone got paid that first time; twenty five US dollars. Although our rate of exchange wasn't as bad then as it is now...(You have $1 US? You have $158 Ja).. it was...(1 US was $12.75) still.... So I got my first pay out and continued to like, and comment, and published the remainder of my clown story. I had $34 when Bub raised its pay out to $50. I knew this was going to happen. I posted a few shards of stuff I'd published elsewhere, kept commenting and liking, reached $50 and got my second pay out. The Bub went down in 2015. I can not say I was ripped off or owed anything.

It was good while it lasted. Too lucrative I would say.

@jaylar I see. Maybe it is difficult to focus on studies and run a business. Were they young?

It was created as a scam. The chaps needed $$ so created the site, got their $$ and closed it

Bubblews had only one thing against them: not one of the people there knew any math. Sometimes they paid a lot, sometines they did not pay. Before they went down, I bought my deep freezer with the money they gave me and a wonderful present for my eldest daughter´s 50th birthday. I´m sure that I bought other things. I knew from the beginning that it would not last. As I said, someone has to know some math in an earning site.

@marguicha the chaps who ran it created it as a scam to finance their education. they were in MIT a top university in the US so knew everything and how to run it. They made a lot of money, paid a few of their users, and then closed the site.

I wasn't there for that but I know I would've liked that site. Especially with such high payouts. Then again when I first started here I had to make ten before payout. I'm actually glad that's been cut in half especially when I have months like this where I'm literally scraping by.

because I knew it was going down I didn't post good stuff, measured my involvement so that I can't say they owed me a cent

@jaylar Bubblews was hilarious. At one point I was raking in $25 a day for writing not very much and not very well. It had to implode.

I never invested much time on that site, it takes me a while to get used to a new platform and I was late to the game anyway. It's great you managed to get paid twice before it went down.

Bubblews was paying out more than they took in. I saw it coming and left at the right time.

@jstory07 that's why I did the clown series and the comments etc. Got payout 1 and took my time knowing that everyone gets paid the first time. Knowing once the thresehold changed it would go back to the first time... so I'd get paid. paid 2x, and sat back

I did not get paid once when there was a technical glitch on the site. Contacting them did nothing. And then before they closed down, I had some earnings, but they weren’t the minimum amount so I never got that either.
