What's for din? October 22nd, 2024

I meant to take a picture of dinner, and didn't. But I made fried pork chops, brown gravy, homemade mashed potatoes and green beans. Oh and we had Hawaiian Rolls. There's also homemade banana pudding with Nilla Wafers. So it was a HEAVY meal, but it was good. So that's what went on the table tonight. What did you have for dinner?

I didn’t eat anything. I didn’t have much food here so I drank three Clearly Canadians. I kept trying to make myself full, and it hasn’t really worked.

That sounds like a very good dinner. I made baked fried chicken in the oven. Dipped my drumsticks in seasoned flour and then an egg dip, and then into some felafel mix I have been trying to get rid of since I don't like felafels, but my sister gave me a box she didn't want and I told her I would find a use for it. The chicken was delicious, and we had macaroni and cheese on the side with some buttered mixed vegetables.

@porwest Nope. Boxed is gross. Especially powdered cheese. If I make boxed its Velveeta liquid gold.

@thislittlepennyearns Boxed. I hardly ever make homemade around here even though I know its better. I get a box for 49 cents at Ruler, so it's not terribly expensive, and I don't think I could make it from scratch cheaper.

That sounds like a feast. I had a slice of meatloaf and a baked potato and a green salad. I didn't eat all day...long story, too busy. Homemade banana pudding with Nilla Wafers...my kids used to love that.

@thislittlepennyearns If I eat fried foods, I have to be really careful or I end up sick...I guess I am just not used to eating it hardly ever. But it surely does sound good.
