It is incredible the amount of trivia we read online. Today I read that 2 of our "dishes" were among the best in the world according to tourists and that one of then was the hotdogs. I was exhausted after I worked for a long time online including having to change the Bank password to reach for my money. I finally did all there was to do, cooked some pasta, added butter and Parmesan cheese and took a long nap. But when I woke up I was hungry. And it was then when I read about the hotdogs and remembered that I had bought all the ingredients when Luna was ill. Our hot dogs have nothing to to with the bread, weenie and mustard hotdogs we see on TV. Here we have special places, usually with German names, that serve beer and hotdogs. I like the ones with most extras added. When I was young and my husband invited me there, I had to go to the toilet before leaving the place because my nose was full of mustard and other food. Those hotdogs were eaten with our hands and I used all the paper napkins they had on my table. My hotdog had: hotdog bread with a delicious weenie (we went to the best restaurant where they had it), mayo, avocado paste, diced tomato, mustard and hot chile paste. I had to place my face over the dish so that I would not get some avocado over my clothes. Later on, my husband coined the sentence "your avocado paste" to talk about the several books I had on my night table because I was reading them at the same time. My husband asked for a hotdog with mayo and a bit of chile paste. I pitied him. MY hotdog is the one that lately tourists have applauded. And I just made one for me I am now sharing with you my memories and my late lunch (almost dinner). I think that I´ll make another one later on. And I´ll go to the kitchen to put a can of beer in the fridge. I´m not much into beer expecpt when I have a hotdog. See you later.

We call it ají. We don´t use the word chili or chile for the paste.

It is not done with bratwurst or the like. It is the common thing for hot dogs.

The only hot dog I've had lately was from Meals on Wheels. I'd like to find out what kind they are because they are delicious. Have a good weekend.

Any hotdog can be turned into what I just explained if you have the other ingredients.

Hey, it's good to be known for something, right? Even if it's a hot dog. I actually like hot dogs.

I agree. Although hotdogs are not what I´d call important. I´d rather be known for emeralds like Colombia.

@marguicha Yeah, they kind of wreck things. Makes a place less of a tourist attraction when you have thugs running around making somewhere a dangerous place.
