Our pets knew it all

I cannot explain this. While our pets always preferred to cling to each other during the pandemic they chose their own places as can be seen in the photo. It could just be my imagination but looking at the way they behaved I wonder if they really knew. Pandemic days were horrible days I cannot think of getting back there. I remember how we used to keep everything we bough from the stores outside, washed everything and then brought it in apart from all the protocols we had to follow. There were bottles of sanitizers and disinfectants all over the place. Hands were washed umpteen number of times........................ Not a happy memory created.

I remember the days of having to wear a mask outside and having to wash my hands frequently as well.

Those are not happy memories. We still have bottles of sanitizers and a couple of boxes of masks that we hope we will never need to use in the future.

While pets can express themselves, they can't always make it easily known to us. They feel what we do even if they don't know why. Pets are often creatures of habbit, where routine is key to their survial. So, they know when that changes for better or worse.

It is just my guess. I could right or wrong about their understanding.

@allknowing You're right. Pets get used to our routines, they notice the changes in our bodies befre we do. Dogs are trained to detect cancer, low and high blood sugar and sesier activity before it happens based on smell.

Animals can sense danger in so many ways. At times I wish I could understand their language maybe they could help us avoid some of these things.

I wish I could say we are over Covid entirely. Last January my husband and I came down with it. He says he will wear a mask when he goes into public spaces this winter.
