My Opinion on Witchcraft

To me, witches are strong, intelligent, outspoken women who are so entuned with the cosmos and spirituality that others see them as weird and even a threat. Many have special gifts such as telepathy and empathy, and they are sensitive to the emotions and experiences of others. I think that back in the early days of society when the Quaker and Catholic religions were so strict and anything outside their norm was seen as going against God and the Bible the witch was seen as a threat to their way of life. Witches did weird things. They were midwives and healers. They used herbs in ways people didn't understand. It was also believed back then that witches murdered and consumed babies. They also understood a bit more than the average person about germs and could cure illnesses because of their knowledge. It all comes down to men not wanting to admit that women might know something. These special women were able to see life and all it's factions much more readily than the common man. Men didn't like this. Their egos would not let them see past their own needs and they needed to keep women enslaved and at their whim. They didn't feel that women were even as human as they were. They were just some lower form set forth on this Earth to bare children and take care of the men. In some areas that hasn't changed much today. The Salem Witch Trials is a prime example of men running scared away from something they don't understand. This type of behavior toward women and witchcraft continues today for much the same reason. Women are to be kept down and not appreciated for what they are, and what they have to offer. I think that this can be seen very well in today's politics. Fascism lends to this because this type of mentality wants to keep women at men's beckoning and doing their will. Keep the men strong and the women as weak as possible. I think that many evil people are really possessed by the Devil, I wouldn't mind meeting a good witch and see what she's into,

That has to be true. I think that most witches respect the elements and utilize all that is around them. A lot of rituals and traditions.

You basically talk to a few of them here. A witch isn't what many people think of doing magical spells. He and she are tuned to nature and try to live as one with earth and it's creatures.

Anything who go against God and thinking that they are doing good but disobeying the highest authority is not really good. Sorry, but its is already written in the bible, God did not like people who do things like that, I mean if you are the creator of everything and everyone and someone is challenging your authority would you feel okay about it awhen all you do is being nice and give everything they need.

Do you know the history of the Bible? Challenging his authority? Where does that have anything to do with witchcraft? Witchcraft has to do with giving homage to the Earth where we get our food. What does that have to do with challenging his authority?

That is so true. We need to get our rights back. Women should have the right to choose.

Even my Dad talked about when folks started to eat tomatoes- imagine if you thought the fruit was poisonous as well as the leaves. Misunderstandings start wars. Why is one person celebrating differently than me a reason to go bomb their house?? Even today women do not always get their rights easily.

But I think society does give women more rights. Just experiencing something for the first time can be rather scary if you over think it.
