So, I just can't quit shaking my head at the hypocrisy, the ignorance, the lack of real experience Trumpsters are showing. It would be rather funny if it weren't so pathetic. They don't seem to realize that Trump is smart enough not to get his hands dirty. Why do you think you keep seeing in the news that his minions are paying big fines, and doing a lot of time? All for him. He positions things just so and then sets back and watches the outcome. He appoints judges who will do his dirty work. He says he'll pay Giuliano for things he never pays for and now look at the position Giuliano's in. Trump is a shrewd businessman. He knows how to get it done and he comes out smelling like a rose. Back in his Casino fiasco days, he had construction people use the best materials and then when it came time to pay them he didn't. When these contractors might sue him to get their money he knew they couldn't afford to pay for lawyers and he just delayed, delayed, delayed, and ended up paying cents on the dollar for all that fancy gold and crystal the construction people stuck their necks out to produce. Yeah, that's a straight-up, honest guy. NOT!! The picture is from eyebuydirect.com

I never claimed that Trump was honest. In fact I know he's not. But je s mpt afraid to get things done, even if he has to use people to do it. And, given we live in a country, where congress votes on the laws we put in place, and we have govornments that go down the ladder to the city level, no one person can be responsible for everything that happens.

@celticeagle I am sure you've heard the saying that politics is dirty. Right? How many honest moral people do you know who run for office and win? Do you think an honest and moral person would have the backbone to adress the issues, knowing that they are going to step on toes and hurt feelings? Honest and moral people don't often accomplish much if they know someone's going to be hurt in the end. I see where you're sad, and wish there's a world where moral honest people would take center stage and do the best for the people, but they don't, they can't. There's no way things are going to get done, if you're not willing to step on toes and possibly hurt feelings. People like trump don't care who they have to step on, to push an agenda. They don't care who gets hurt, if the ends justify the means. And, those are the people who wind up in politics and are the reason we have some of the freedoms we have today. And, they are also the reason we have some of the problems.

@xander6464 Actually, he didn't. Not really. He gets credit for a lot of what happens. But, we don't belong in a country where one sole person has complete power and what they says goes. But, if something goes sideways, or when the you know what hits the fan, it's easy to put the blame on one person. It's happened with every president we've ever had. @porwest did a good job spelling out all the good things that Trump accomplished during his first four years. Including his handling of COVID. But, none of that matters if all you can think about is what a horrible human being he is.

@xander6464 Actually, I saw it, I lived it, I know what is and isn't true. The news didn't tell me what was going on, I saw it for myself. Especially during COVID when I swear common sense went out the window and people were being told things mom should've tought them when they were five.... by the media and news like.... wash your hands and commonly used surfaceses to prevent the spread of germs. I've seen how kids don't respect their parents, how America doesn't think for itself. That no matter what happens whoever happens to be President is somehow responsible.

And the majority of Americans ignored all of this and still voted him in. Have a good day.
