Tram travel

I had a rare experience in Australia (Melbourne) travelling by tram from our hotel to the market area. We had given up joining the group to go on that road trtip to see those 12 apostles (rocks in the sea) as we were tired the previous evening having travelled to Philips Island to watch penguins. Even though we have had trams in India I never got to travel by a tram here. The conductor and the driver were very friendly and kept announcing as and when the next stop arrived. Created a happy memory and this was years ago. Image credit:

I rode the tram every day to go to school when I lived in Milan and later to go to work.

@allknowing Yes, all the major cities have trams, they do not pollute, no toxic or polluting gases are emitted. Also here in Switzerland all large cities have trams.

It's very useful when they make announcements about upcoming stops!

Yeah same here with the metro. It's really difficult to understand which stop it is unless they announce. Most of the times, its so crowded.
