Meatloaf Monday / myLot

Tom has a colonoscopy Wed. So I made him meatloaf, taters, and green beans for supper. He won't be able to eat anything tomorrow night. I went to heart doctor today. He said unless I have any problems just keep taking my meds and I was doing good. Since my right leg and foot are not swelling right now, I voted to wait 3 months before doing anything to see if the swelling returns. Too close to Christmas, and I have put up with it for a couple of years..3 months will be a piece of cake. I think I am doing pretty good with my practicing patience...LOL haven't had a blow out/up. LOL

Meatloaf. Yummy. I need to get some more ground beef but I just CAN'T bring myself to pay the price for it. It's been through the roof lately and I just won't do it. But I'd love to have a meatloaf.

Ground beef runs around $5 a pound depending on where you get it here. When I make meatloaf, I go to Piggly Wiggly or Grocery Outlet because Walmart only has 1lb packages and my recipe calls for 1 1/2 lbs. I use Walmart ground chuck for tacos. LOL

@Ghostlady I won't pay more than $3 a pound for it. I usually am able to find a deal and then I stock up. But I won't buy it over $3. When we make a meatloaf we use 2 lbs.

Nothing like banana popsicles and broth for dinner. It’s only one day and it certainly is better than dealing with a colonostomy bag.

@Ghostlady — yeah, that’s “just like a man for you.”

I had a nurse tell me once that men are usually more difficult to give IVs to because they don’t seem “used to” getting them.

They cancelled his appt. He has bronchitis...going to the doctor tomorrow. I told him to go last week when it started, but you know how men are....they are fine until they are NOT fine.
