Lexie Mullins who is a resident of Chavies Kentucky was in awe when she saw a wallaby hopping around her front yard on Saturday evening which she shared the video on Facebook on November 9. Lexie did contact officials with the Louisville Zoo who informed Lexie that the wallaby did not escape from their zoo. The zoo officials that the wallaby must have escaped from his or her owner. The identity of the owner of the wallaby is not known at this time. Owning a wallaby in Louisville is not clear concerning whether it is legal or not. What will happen to the wallaby is anyone guess at this time. Link is upi.com/1651731432849 via @upi

Ugh. If you’re going to have a non native species in this country, make sure they can’t escape! That is, if they even have a permit. Poor thing needs proper care.

@marguicha I am in agreement with you since feeding them is expensive and some cities forbid them as pets.

I'm sure they'll find a safe home for the wallaby. It's lucky it didn't get hit by a car.

That was an odd sighting, to be sure. The world is a very strange place, at times.

I am in agreement with you since some events look like a real life version of 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not."
