7 Hours Without Lights

We just got our lights back. I'm si glad. My phone was going down for the last count. They came back on about 2:30, I began to get worried, pretty soon it would have been getting dark. I'm sure our whole community is breathing a sigh of relief. I stayed in bed for awhile under covers. I can't even imagine people snowed in with no power. I was nearly a basket case thinking about no lights at night. What a relief. Hope you all are good.

I'm glad power is back again.Thankfully we rarely have to live without power.I know what it means to live in dark.

Glad you got your power back before it got dark. George and I've had many nights without power.

Glad the power came back on. We have a standby generator now that comes on automatically if the power goes out. I'm so glad I insisted on that with hubby, especially now that I'm alone. Have a good week.

Does this happen often there? Maybe you need a battery charger pack for your phone and some flashlights or lanterns.

That is a regular feature here. We have a home UPS that takes care of fans, lights, computer and tv when the power is off.

There is a city, Gravenhurst, in cottage country here in Ontario, that went 8 hours without power after having 140cm of snow fall. And it was cold outside. It took some of them longer to get their power restored, but nobody perished, they all made the best of it, which is really what you did and all that any of us can do in that situation.

Glad you got them back on. We have went days here without. Being in the middle of nowhere and a bad snowstorm can do that.

Thank goodness you have your lights back since it is not fun not to have electricity inside a home during the winter months.
