In my city, we have to get an ID that identify us as a resident there to get all the benefits. The benefits include free consultation and medicine at the health center (as long as available), free grocery packs every Christmas. For senior and PWD, they have cash gifts every June and December.
Yesterday, I was home interviewed for my ID card renewal (every 3 years). This is to ensure that the person is still alive and residing there.
That was one of the reasons I was not active the past days.

That's so nice.
My mom and my dad already had IDs, they started getting their quarterly allowances last year. They have so many maintenance medicine and they also have annually laboratory so it is really a great help for their medical bills. But I am grateful that their laboratory result are all normal now, and the doctors also lessen their medicines. to God be the glory.

Glad you got your ID updated, We also have IDs from the state we live in. I guess I am set with mine because I looked at when it would expire and it says 2032.

We have a ID card that's valid throughout the country. Only we have to change the address in that card if we move from one city to another.
