Getting the car serviced

The photo shows the lounge area of the motor home. I don’t have a photo of it extended out yet but one day soon. Moving on ....
When we moved from a small country property to suburbia, we had to find a new dentist, doctor, mechanic, chemist – the list went on and on. Most we found by word-of-mouth and we’ve been very happy with the recommendations.
A few of the people in our village are still working. One is a mechanic and we were told that he would drive your car to his place of work where it would be serviced or whatever then he’d deliver it back when he finished for the day.
We found the business to be very good and of course it was really convenient having the vehicle picked up and delivered. We thought we might have hit a problem when we couldn’t be here when the car was due to be returned. It was no problem. Bobby used the fob key to open the garage door. He parked the car, left the keys in a conspicuous place, hit the button to activate the garage door and ducked out before he was trapped inside. You can’t ask for more than that, can you?

So how was Bob able to come out?
Did you had to do something from your side?
The Lounge looks fine.
Do the Servicing Folks take a lot of amount as Labor charges?
When I get my annual car servicing done, some of the fixed charges can be quite a lot.
However, I am fine with that since I feel that ultimately it is Car's performance and longevity that matters.

Do you mean come out from the garage? There is a remote control button in the car which opens the garage roller door as you approach it. Once you're inside the garage, you can push the same button or push a button on the wall. The door starts to close and Bob just has to run out quickly. We can go through a small door from the garage into the house.
Most of the mechanic shops charge much the same. If you get good service then you tend to stick to that one.

You seem to be well settled now in your new place (not so new now) and was this last of your search for service oriented contacts?
Your motor home looks posh.

@JudyEv Even I get my hair done at home. Bank comes home, and that is the benefit of shifting to semi rural town

The only thing better would be if he washed and waxed it!

That is great that he is such a great neighbour to help out as he does.
We had to find everything new when we moved to our vicinity 7 years ago.
I found the hardest thing was to find a trustworthy hairdresser and a trustworthy investor.
We do not have a mechanic like you do though, we had one close to that where we used to live, but not here.

It took me a while to find a hairdresser. I have one now who comes to the house and charges about a third of what it would cost me at a salon. I only need a trim occasionally so I didn't really like paying through the nose for a 5-minute job.
