On Wednesday night when my Mum went to the house group, I watched the film Save the Cinema on DVD. It is about Liz Evans, who was Wynne Evans's mother, and her fight to save The Lyric Cinema in Carmarthen from demolition.
I know that in real life Wynne was actually about 21 when the events of the movie took place, but in the film he is portrayed as a little kid. Wynne also has a cameo in the movie. When they are showing the film How Green Was My Valley, during a song in the film, people started standing up in the audience and joining in! Wynne was one of them!
I remember looking at the people playing the Evans brothers and trying to work out who was supposed to be who! Then the person playing Liz Evans called the tallest one Huw, so I knew he was portraying Huw. Then I thought, well of course the biggest would play the oldest and the smallest would play the youngest. And the kid playing Wynne had floppy hair! I don't know if Wynne ever had floppy hair!
After I'd watched the film I went onto Facebook, and in one of the Welsh Facebook groups there was someone extending their condolences to Wynne Evans and family after the death of his eldest brother Huw! It said that Wynne had announced his brothers death on Instagram. So I went to check out Instagram to make sure it was true, and there it was. I was really shocked especially as I'd just been watching that film about their Mum.
Wynne said that his brother Huw was his inspiration, and he will really miss him.
RIP Huw Evans.

That's very kind of you. Wynne was only in it for a minute or so! I really feel for him. He's really going to miss his brother. It had to happen when he was in the middle of rehearsals for the Strictly tour, wouldn't it? His Strictly mates are looking after him anyway.
You've seen the movie?

@sharonelton Maybe it was a question - 'How green was my valley?' because it just looked grey in the film

Yes, it is sad.
It's a little known film. It's still available on Amazon on DVD and Bluray. It was really good. I loved the Welsh accents!
Oh, that's good. I'm glad you love it. I remember thinking because the film was in black and white, how did they know the valley was green in the first place?!
