A cow who had escaped from her owner's home in Washington state a few days earlier was seen walking on Interstate 84 on New Years Day by jumping a five foot fence as well as a three foot barbed wire fence.
The cow then swam across the Columbia River as the cow was able to climb the bank and get into the freeway where several persons tried to prevent the cow from entering the freeway.
Teamwork from the Hood River Police Department and the Oregon State Police were able to slow down traffic to prevent the cow from being harmed by an auto.
The cow then went to the railroad tracks when the cow collapsed due to exhaustion inside of a train tunnel.
Thanks to a young lady who stood on the train tracks to stop the cow, the Oregon State Police with the assistance of the Hood River Police Department and the Union Pacific Railroad Company, the cow was then taken by the police to a horse trailer where the cow is waiting to be reunited with her owner.
No humans and animals were hurt in the incident on New Years Day.

Maybe that cow was training for the Olympics, running, swimming, jumping, climbing, quite a workout.
